Peru tax residence calculator
In Peru, foreign individuals are considered domiciled when they stay in the country more than 183 calendar days within any twelve-month period. The Peruvian particularity is the timing: domiciled status applies from 1 January of the year following the one in which the days were completed.
Loss works as a mirror image: anyone who leaves and stays abroad more than 183 days in twelve months stops being domiciled, also with effect from the following year, unless residence in another country is proven earlier. The calculator counts days of presence; the timing is for the adviser to determine.
